Bio

J. Koyanagi writes science fiction and fantasy with LGBTQ themes. Born in Ohio to a Japanese-Southern-American family, she eventually moved to Georgia and earned a degree in anthropology with a minor in religion. Although not the most lucrative fields, she sometimes dreams of kinship systems and gods.

After becoming enamored of the idea of living near the Rocky Mountains, she moved to Colorado where she writes about women who chase stories, undermine corporate buyouts, and fight oppression.

She has a spoiled Doberman who is the center of her world, a leopard gecko named after an alien, and several large tattoos.
